To that end, I’ve come up with a Plan Of Action for the next few months which I hope will get me where I want to be at the beginning of 2019 to start the year of with a bang.
Instead of having a slow and relaxing November, it will be a very busy month – in which I may just write 50 000 words in any case…
July (and Camp NaNoWriMo) is about 12 days from completion, and though I have not reached my target word count, I can say that I’m optimistic that I will still reach it as I double down and work on my projects and articles. Another “Mighty” article The Mighty has published another one of my articles […]
Being all academic As usual, the days are simply speeding by at breakneck speed with me trying my best to hold on and get everything done that needs to get done! This includes actually finishing my paper for August’s Medieval conference before the end of the month… (The trick is not to get side-tracked by […]
I have a guest post on the Rachel Poli’s blog today! Titled “How to create your own fantasy language“, it has a ton of resources and even a taste of a language from The Ruon Chronicles! Head over to Rachel’s blog – and be sure to read her other posts as well.

An article and a short story Published during the end of May was “6 Coping Mechanisms That Help My Mental and Physical Illnesses”, which was published on The Mighty. My short story “Pandjieswinkelgoed” (“Pawnshop stuff”) will also appear in the 22 June 2018 issue of Vrouekeur! (What makes you think I’m especially excited to get […]
I’ve been playing around with possible ebook covers for The Knowledge Stones, Grove of Graves, and Forgotten on Canva. Not just as a procrastination tactic, but also because I actually need some covers for when I publish the full stories. (We’ve been so busy at work that I’ve spent some evenings rather working on covers […]
Or, This is taking longer than expected Since the previous update I, on the one hand, don’t feel like I’ve written that much, but that is because I have mostly been outlining and going over timelines for specifically The Ruon Chronicles. The timeline for Porselein is still small enough for me to just have some […]
