Camp NaNoWriMo – The Box of Secrets: Writing Update & Characters

I’m really enjoying writing part 2 of The Box of Secrets (which will be March’s Patreon fiction), and it does seem as if it is going to be quite a long piece – about 7K words. This part of the story covers Trevian and Aaron’s travels to Arhos (and a bit beyond) and I really hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!

Here’s a sneak peek from the first draft:

Trevian changed his grip on the knife and the man struck. He lifted his arm in defense and felt the white-hot cut of the knife across his arm. His own knife fell to the ground useless, and he hit at the man with his left hand. Once, twice, Trevian drove the attacker back with blows to his face. Warm blood streaked down his right arm and dripped from his fingers. The man lunged at Trevian and he stepped back, losing his footing and falling backwards, jolting his already injured arm as he landed on his right side.

Here are some photos that show how I imagine the characters in The Box of Secrets to look.

Aaron Ashrow

Trevian Rada

Zala Selahad (whom you will meet in part 2)

Senned Khaldun (whom you will meet in part 2)
